Dredging Systems specialises in both hydraulic (cutter-suction pumping) and mechanical (excavator bucket) dredging. Our highly mobile equipment operates in mine tailings dams, industrial ponds and effluent ponds. We also provide navigational dredging services for marinas and canals. Our amphibious equipment cleans silted-up creeks and rivers, and provides weed removal and flood-mitigation control. We also supply civil services for bridge and port construction as well as beach renourishment. Other services include dredge slurry management and dewatering/drying bags.

Mine Tailings Dams Dredging

Our dredges clear material build-up from settlement ponds and mine tailings dams. Related capabilities include pumping to other settlement ponds then back into the washery plant itself.

Cutter-Suction Pumping

The cutter-suction head can pump a mixture of material and liquid up to 1000m through 225mm-diameter pipes without the need for a booster pump. (Dredging Systems can supply booster pumps if further distance is required.)

Flood-Mitigation Control (Rivers, Creeks)

We remove sediment and weed growth from blocked-up creeks that otherwise cause rivers and creeks to overflow and flood.

Civil services (Bridges, Port Construction, Beach Renourishment)

Our specialised equipment includes onboard cranes that can work in tight-access areas such as under bridges and wharves.

Weed Removal

The weed rake removes heavy weed from industrial ponds and recreational areas such as rowing regattas.

Mechanical (Excavator Bucket) Dredging

Dredges use the excavator bucket, mud bucket and weed rake to remove mud, sand, rocks and weed.

Navigational Dredging (Marinas, Canals, Harbours)

We remove sediment build-up from run-off or currents and bring waterways back to previously established levels to allow safe passage for watercraft.

Industrial Ponds (Water Dams, Effluent Ponds)

Our highly mobile equipment can ‘walk’ or be craned into tight-access industrial ponds.

Environmental Dredging (Wetlands, Lagoons)

We maintain sensitive sites by removing pollution, sediment and weed growth.
